Rap these days is being dominated by babies: specifically, by DaBaby and Lil Baby. In 2019, DaBaby was voted the #1 best new rapper by music fans on Ranker, followed very close behind by Lil Baby at #2. In 2020, both rappers have released new albums that received plenty of airtime on the radio, but it’s hard to say which one is currently has more favor with Ranker voters.

“ROCKSTAR” by DaBaby (also known as Jonathan Kirk) is currently the #1 song on our list of Best Rap Songs of 2020 — meanwhile,  “Bigger Picture” by Lil Baby (born Dominique Armani Jones) is at #4. But Lil Baby is outdoing his fellow infant in the “Best Rap Album of 2020” category, as “My Turn”’s #3 spot on the list beats “Blame It on Baby” current ranking at #10. Lil Baby is (as of this publication) #10 on the list of Best Young Rappers and New School Rappers, seven spots ahead of DaBaby. But Ranker Insights says that DaBaby has a 66% approval rating with Ranker voters overall, while Lil Baby’s approval rating is a still-impressive 60%.
